The term SaaS simply stands for Software as a Service.

Sass is a software distribution model for software, where rather than users needing to download a program manually and run on their PC, the software is hosted in the cloud by a third party provider which the user can access from anywhere that has internet.

Typically Saas has a commercial model based on licence or subscription where thus user pays a pre-determined amount to access the platform.
