Pivoting

A pivot, when it comes to software development and startups, is basically a shift in strategy mid way through development.

A tech project may begin with a clear vision and the development team work to execute but then often as the result of direct or indirect feedback from customers or stakeholders, the business decides to stop, regroup and test a new approach. 

Pivots can come in different forms including adding/removing/editing new features, changes in design or UX, change in commercial or pricing model or even a complete shift in business model.
