DevOpps is a style of software development that focuses on the adoption of agile, lean development processes.

The terms was created by developer Patrick DuBois in 2009 and saw the focus for development process shifting from pure technology to a clear focus on people, tools and efficient development processes.

The birth of DevOpps has no doubt resulting in massive improvements in the quality of development and the speed of delivery where agile development practices have enable projects to be fluid and adjust quickly to new learnings or approaches.

A quality DevOpps manager is these days as important, if not more so, that quality developers as DevOpps is ultimately responsible for leading the development process.
