Recently we worked with RosterElf, Australia’s leading rostering software, to help build the new RosterElf iOS app. In addition to their web app, RosterElf wanted an iOS rostering app to help its customers connect with their employees and take rostering and management tasks on the go.
RosterElf is a rostering software for small and large businesses across several industries. They make rostering and admin magically simple with key features such as staff scheduling, labour budgeting and automatic award calculations.
After successfully raising capital, they were looking to expand their offering so customers could take their management tasks on the go. With their platform easily accessible from a desktop, customers needed a reliable way to make changes to the roster and update staff immediately.
After realising the opportunity to create an iOS app, RosterElf was looking for a team with a fresh approach to matching their innovative way of solving common business challenges such as rostering, payroll and time management.
Before RosterElf introduced its iOS App, managers struggled to keep staff informed of changes across multiple locations. Then, when it was time to update staff of last-minute changes, management had to send out an email staff could easily miss.
The miscommunication would cause coverage issues and prevent businesses from providing the best service for their customers. Compared to other rostering software and processes, adding an iOS app was a great way to connect staff and management.
RosterElf chose to create an iOS app to help keep managers and staff with Apple products connected and up to date. Management can send updates via SMS and email notifications to staff across more than one location with the app.
In addition, with the iOS app, management receives a notification when employees clock in and out of shifts. This feature enables managers to ensure enough coverage and compare hours worked to hours scheduled when processing payroll.
Now, RosterElf customers with an iPhone have access to a rostering app in the palm of their hand. They can also process payroll, approve leave, track time and attendance, adjust rosters, and stay updated with changes.
“Since our customers have had access to the RosterElf Android and iOS apps, we’ve seen better communication overall between managers and employees. It is by far one of our customer’s favourite tools,” says Lukas Nicholson, Account Manager at RosterElf.
Since building and deploying the RosterElf iOS app, the team at RosterElf has seen an uptick in the number of app downloads across their customer base. In addition, they have received positive feedback from businesses saying they feel more in control of last-minute changes across multiple locations.
Plus, staff are more engaged and feel more in control of their schedule. To meet all of your rostering needs, sign up for RosterElf’s 30-day free trial.
